We got the Team Up with Hellman’s and Chef Mathew Ravenscroft from Toronto, for a unique challenge…making Vegan Dishes inspired by some favourite classic dishes on our menu! Of course we replicated the smoked Brisket, and our Smok’d Mac & Cheese and came up with a Smok’d Vegan Brizet with Carolina Drizzle, and a Queso Carrot Mac ‘N’ Cheese…and omg, if I didn’t have enough reasons already to incorporate more plant-based into my diet…these items were incredible! (and still available on our catering platter menu folks!).

So what do you say when you show up, meet the owner of the gorgeous Bragg Creek home, and while shaking his hand you muster, “you look familiar”. Well, the former Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, said back to Chef Jenny B, “Well, I Should be!” And that’s what happens when you’re busy making wildly great BBQ and not even noticing who’s noticing!

Or, how about the time when we fed Eric Church and his crew after a show from our food truck, and he couldn’t get enough of our Jerk Chicken?!

We delivered BBQ Platters to Haylee Wickenheiser’s Calgary home for an event, delivered daily meals to a world famous director while he filmed ‘the revenant’, dropped of an after game BBQ snacks to the hungry hockey players or the Colorado Avalanche, and regularly get to crew out with our local Calgary Ward 9 Councillor, Gian-Carlo Carra who is such a huge support of Jane Bond BBQ over the years.

They say if you want to be more successful you need to associate in elevated circles. We are proud that while committing to our Best BBQ possible, other folks who strive for excellence take recognition in what we do.

Italian Beef Sandwich

Chef Jenny B had a chance to fill Julie Van Rosendal’s shoes on CBC’s Eye Opener…to feature Jane Bond’s version of the Italian Beef Sandwich from the TV Hit Series, ‘The Bear’! Challenge accepted!
The conversation started from a question on Reddit, “where can i find on of these sandwiches?” We answered with a weekend feature of this damn delicious Chicago style Beef Sandwich…watch the video here. Listen to the CBC cast here.

Happy Stampede Prime Minister Stephen Harper!!

Mr. Harper and his amazing team had us out to sling some bbq for their team building Stampede Party. What a great experience. And, Chef Jenny B will never live down commenting, “You Look Familiar” as she met him and shook his hand. Face Slap!

We BROUGHT it with our Beautiful Brisket to be the 2019 Winners of BEST SLIDER & Also Best TEAM along side Cold Garden Brewery. Great Competitors, Great Times, Great Cause in raising funds for Kid’s Cancer. We hope to return next year to defend. Watch Out!
